One of the biggest photography conferences in the world, sponsored by the Professional Photographers of America. Yes, I am a proud member of PPA, as well as Professional Photographers of Colorado, where I just finished up a two year term on the board of directors.

The thing I value most about these organizations is not the learning, which there is plenty. Or, the things I can buy at the trade shows for my business.  Or, the wonderful parties (these images were taken at the closing party at the Georgia Aquarium…the best PPA closing party yet!) .  Nope, the thing I value most are the friends I meet, the friendships formed and the memories made.

Just like the schools of tiny little minnows that swim in big schools, or the jelly fish that tend to all swim together, everyone needs a sense of belonging and community. It’s the small things in life that are the most important. Those small things and small relationships build and build and really are the very biggest and most important after all!

Thank you all my photography friends both online and in person, and my business partner and best friend Brenda for making this the most amazing Imaging I’ve been too.

A special thanks to my fellow board member and the one who started this 52 Clicks Project The wonderful and fabulous Tanja at Contemporary Expressions Photography. You don’t know how much I missed you last week! I so value our friendship and all that you have shared and taught me over the years. You are truly so hard working,  strong, talented, unique, giving and downright amazing. You, my friend, need to be on one of those stages teaching hundreds next year!
