It's Prom Time! | Legend & Pondo Friends at Prom

The Girls....

 The Guys.....
 The Flowers....

 The Couples....

 The Fun.....
 The Details.....
 The Instigator......Karen!
Every year, like clockwork the trees at the studio time their blooms perfectly to coincide with Prom. This year, I prayed that they would survive the two feet of snow we had the week before. They did not disappoint! The snow magically melted and when my friend Karen called for prom pictures.....it was also magic with these great couples!

My own son chose to just go to after prom this year, so it was a pleasure still getting to photograph some friends for prom. One of my favorite times of year!!

Christiane & Logan | Engagement Session | Parker

A few years back I did Christiane's Senior Pictures. Now she is a teacher at an area elementary school and she just got engaged! For Christmas her sister (who I also did her senior pictures) gave them an engagement session.  We were joking how thier engagement session will be so different than thier summer wedding this summer in Virginia.

Yep, it was a little cold out! But a beautiful day despite the cold, as we walked around a local park that has a barn, just perfect for this couple that owns dogs and horses.

Loved catching up with Christiane and getting to know Logan a little better. And, I always love it when dogs are part of the picture!

Congratulations you two! Can't wait to see the wedding photos! Enjoy the journey. :)

Seniors of another kind.....

Married over 50 years...these two seniors were a joy to photograph. The grandparents of a past senior of the other kind, they have recently moved here to be closer to their daughter and grandchildren.  They came to the studio on a cold, snowy day....a bit of a change for these two from California. But, it didn't deter thier great attitude and joy for life and each other! What a gift to get to know them and photograph them this Christmas!

Nope...still not doing weddings, but....

I recently attended a Professional Photographers of Colorado seminar that was all about weddings. Now why would someone that doesn't shoot weddings go to a wedding event?
Well, three reasons.
1. It was right in my own back yard at the beautiful Parker Villa by Town Hall.
2. Because it was so much more than weddings. It was lighting, shooting with other great photographers, and a fabulous program to boot.
3. Because I DO shoot engagement, bridal, prom, couples...just about everything BUT weddings.
4. (I know, I know I said three reasons, but I thought of another!). I got to try some fun editing techniques, and a new plug in I'm thinking of buying, on these images of beautiful models.
So, hope you like them! I have another PPC event coming in May that will feature a few of the seniors from Michelle Kroll Photography! The seniors and I are SO excited!

I Have A New Year's Surprise!

I'm going to start booking families, maternity, newborn and children's portraits again! Seniors will still be the main emphasis during the summer months, but fall, spring, and winter, I will be booking other types of photography. Still no weddings, as of yet, but you never know what the future will bring! I'm so excited!!
Bookings will start March 1 to give me some time to catch up with some other exciting new happenings at the studio (think new website, remodeled studio, some photography conferences and training.....the list goes on and on). I'm so excited!! And so excited about 2010 and the New Year and all it brings!
Happy 2010!!

Kara and Taylor

Kara and Taylor are celebrating a year together, and soon going off to separate colleges. So, we did some photos to celebrate their milestone, and also so they have some great photos for them to take to college with them. We got some great traditional poses, but the last one was more the order of the day. We had a fun time just goofing around and shooting some more non-traditional stuff!
Both these kids are so smart, talented and fun! It was a nice little break from all the rush of high school seniors. However, speaking of seniors.....I need to get back to them now! Good luck at school Taylor and Kara. I know you guys will do well!
