Christiane & Logan | Engagement Session | Parker
A few years back I did Christiane's Senior Pictures. Now she is a teacher at an area elementary school and she just got engaged! For Christmas her sister (who I also did her senior pictures) gave them an engagement session. We were joking how thier engagement session will be so different than thier summer wedding this summer in Virginia.
Yep, it was a little cold out! But a beautiful day despite the cold, as we walked around a local park that has a barn, just perfect for this couple that owns dogs and horses.
Loved catching up with Christiane and getting to know Logan a little better. And, I always love it when dogs are part of the picture!
Congratulations you two! Can't wait to see the wedding photos! Enjoy the journey. :)

Tyler and Angela Engagement

There are my kids....And then there are my "other kids". Kids that can walk in our front door any time without knocking because they know they are family. Kids that we cry with when they are troubled and rejoice together in their successes. Kids that, even though they are not kids anymore, I hope will always be a part of our lives. Tyler is one of those kids. The big older brother that my kids can go to for advice. And now, he's getting married!
He's getting married to Angela. A beautiful girl that we have known and treasured for years. Both Tyler and Angela's families have been such a godsend and support to us over the years, especially when it came to Ryan's NF.
We had such a fun time on their engagement session, catching up and hearing about the wedding plans on a picture perfect fall day. I came out of a temporary retirement for this one!
And speaking of retirement...or, lack there of....we have a date for "the big announcement" of my business....Watch for it October 21st! Tyler and Angela already know, but are sworn to secrecy, just as I am sworn to secrecy about some of their wedding plans! After all, we are family. Love you both...

A long time ago…….
Yes, almost a year ago I was asked to be on the Board of Directors of Professional Photographers of Colorado. So Exciting! I readily accepted and have been going full force gangbusters since then! So busy, in fact that I haven’t had time to post some of the exciting workshops PPC puts on. Like, the David Beckstead Workshop we had back in April. David is an amazing wedding photographer that shoots all over the world. His workshop was so eye opening! He introduced us to some fabulous concepts and ways of shooting. Really had me going out of my comfort zone… in a good way! But wait Michelle, you say. You don’t shoot weddings! True that! But David’s techniques easily cross the lines to any kind of senior, or portrait, photography. Such a great learning experience and workshop! Enjoy (finally) some of my images from the workshop!

Nope...still not doing weddings, but....
I recently attended a Professional Photographers of Colorado seminar that was all about weddings. Now why would someone that doesn't shoot weddings go to a wedding event?
Well, three reasons.
1. It was right in my own back yard at the beautiful Parker Villa by Town Hall.
2. Because it was so much more than weddings. It was lighting, shooting with other great photographers, and a fabulous program to boot.
3. Because I DO shoot engagement, bridal, prom, couples...just about everything BUT weddings.
4. (I know, I know I said three reasons, but I thought of another!). I got to try some fun editing techniques, and a new plug in I'm thinking of buying, on these images of beautiful models.

So, hope you like them! I have another PPC event coming in May that will feature a few of the seniors from Michelle Kroll Photography! The seniors and I are SO excited!
